The levels of the Swiss Snow League
Our snow sports instructors teaches according to the standards of the Swiss Snow League: In the GREEN LEAGUE your children will make their first experiences on skis or snowboard. In the BLUE LEAGUE they learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding. Advanced skiers consolidate their skills in the RED LEAGUE before they mature into experts in the BLACK LEAGUE.

SKI GREEN LEAGUE
For children who have never skied.
Kids Village
from 3 to 4 years
Goals in Kids Village
- Getting to know the skis and the snow
- Walking, climbing uphill (turning around)
- Skiing in the fall line with skis parallel and braking
- First changes of direction from the fall line
Green Village
from 5 years
Goals in Green Village
- Getting to know the skis and the snow
- Walking, climbing uphill (turning around)
- Skiing in the fall line with skis parallel and braking
- First changes of direction from the fall line
Ski Blue League
from 5 years
Blue Prince / Princess
Your child can ski in snowplow, can brake and make the first changes of direction.
Goals at Blue Prince / Princess
- Climbing uphill by side stepping and herringbone (scissor) stepping
- Gliding and braking with the snow plough
- Skiing with skis parallel with steps and tricks
- Turning snow plough turns (wedge turns)
Blue King / Queen
Your child can glide, brake in the snowplow and can do snowplow turns.
Goals at Blue King / Queen
- Traversing and tricks
- Side-slipping
- Skiing with skis parallel over easy bumps and jumps
- Snow plough turns on an easy blue slope
Blue Star
Your child has mastered the snowplow turn on easy blue runs and is able to ski over easy bumps.
Goals at Blue Star
- Turning in a miniature slalom jungle
- Skiing over bumps and dips
- Skiing backwards with skis in a V shape with change of direction
- Snow plough turns on a versatile blue run
Ski Red League
Red Prince / Princess
Your child masters the snowplow turn on varied blue slopes.
Goals at Red Prince / Princess
- Braking with skis parallel
- Turning steps on an easy slope
- Waltzing
- Skidded parallel turns
Red King / Queen
Your child can do skidded turns with a parallel ski position.
Goals at Red King / Queen
- Short turns on an easy slope
- Skating step on the flat terrain
- Basic Air (small kicker)
- Parallel turns with various radii
Red Star
Your child masters parallel turns and can vary their radii.
Goals at Red Star
- Parallel turns through a corridor of slalom
- Skidded parallel turns backwards (switch)
- Single ski turns on an easy slope
- Short turns on an intermediate slope
Ski Black League
Black Prince / Princess
Your child is able to do short turns on intermediate slopes.
Goals at Black Prince / Princess
- Short turns with pole planting on an difficult slope
- Jumps: Straights and fifty/fifty over box
- Parallel turns off-piste
- Carved parallel turns on a wide, easy slope
Black Academy
Your child is able to ski in carved turns on intermediate slopes.
Goals at the Academy
The Academy includes three main topics on skis:
- Race
- Freestyle
- Freeride
SNOWBOARD GREEN LEAGUE
For children who have never stood on a snowboard before
Kids Village
from 3 to 4 years
Goals at Kids Village
- Skating on a flat surface with one foot strapped
- Fullbase riding on a gentle slope
- Edging down the fall line
- Flat base riding to edging on a gentle slope
Snowboard Blue League
from 5 years
Blue Prince / Princess
Your child can ride fullbase on easy terrain and slide in the fall line.
Goals at Blue Prince / Princess
- Edging in the traverse
- Edging to fullbase riding
- Using the T-bar lift
- Skidded turns
Blue King / Queen
Your child masters a traverse and can ride from sliding to fullbase.
Goals at Blue King / Queen
- Turns using rotation techniques
- Waltzing
- Wheelie
- Jumping with both feet in the air on a slope
Blue Star
Your child is able to turn and perform the waltz and the wheelie.
Goals at Blue Star
- Riding Switch
- Speed check
- Fifty/Fifty on an easy box
- Hitting small jumps
Snowboard Red League
Red Prince / Princess
Your child can ride switch and jump over small jumps.
Goals at Red Prince / Princess
- Turns using stretching and bending techniques
- Powerslide
- Ollie/N´Ollie on the slope
- 180° on the slope
Red King / Queen
Your child can do the Ollie/ N'Ollie on the slopes.
Goals at Red King / Queen
- Carved turns
- Slide on the slope
- Ollie/N´Ollie 180° on the slope
- Basic Air
Red Star
Your child masters carved turns and can do Basic Airs over jumps.
Goals at Red Star
- Riding off-piste
- Frontside Noseturn
- Backside boardslide on a box
- Straight Air
Snowboard Black League
Black Academy
Your child can do the frontside noseturn and the backside boardslide over a box.
Goals at Snow Academy
