Level Overview Snowboard
The following videos from the Swiss Snow League and the Swiss Snow Academy will help you to assess your children's snowboarding level.
Green League (never snowboarded before)
For children who have never been on a snowboard before.
Green League 3-4 years: Kids Village
- One-foot walking and riding
- Fullbase riding
- Sliding
Blue League (from age 5)
For children aged five and over.
Blue Prince / Princess
Your child can ride fullbase on easy terrain and slide in the fall line.
- Riding the practice lift
- Fullbase riding to sliding
- Skidded basic turns
Blue King / Queen
Your child masters a traverse and can ride through slid to fullbase turns.
- Skidded turns using rotation technique
- Speedcheck
- Skidded extension turn
Blue Star
Your child masters switch turns and can perform the waltz and the wheelie.
- Skidded flex turn
- Skidded basic turns, switch
- Carving in the traverse
Swiss Snow Academy Red (advanced)
In the RED ACADEMY, advanced children consolidate their snowboarding skills.
Your child can do switch swings and jumps over small jumps.
Swiss Snow Academy Black (experts)
In the BLACK Academy, children are called upon to become experts on the snowboard.
Your child can do the frontside noseturn and the backside boardslide over a box. The Academy covers three main topics in the snowboard categories:
