The local ski instructor and subsequent ski school director Giovanni Testa founded the first ski school in St. Moritz in 1929 after being entrusted by Tourist Board Director Dr. Amstutz and the ski club Alpina. Today, the Ski School St. Moritz is not only the oldest but also the largest ski school in Switzerland.
